Dave Earnshaw Director. Acting Joint Vice Chair As a lifelong fan working locally in Children’s Social Care, I want the best for Rochdale Football Club both on and off the pitch to try and ensure that fans get the best match day experience possible . To this end I firmly believe that this doesn’t just start on match days, but every day, every day fans enquire or come into contact with club, be it through social media, internet or face to face. To this end I believe this can only be done with effective robust communication and ensuring the Trust builds on its work with the club and to try and drive the club to communicate more with the fan base in general. I believe effective communication increases awareness of all club and trust activities and goes to make you, the Dale Fan, more informed, and for you to have the best possible experience. Favourite player will test peoples memory with it being Bobby Hoy who led the wing for The Dale late 70;s early 80s Most memorable goal for me is Ian Henderson when he scored against Leeds in the FA Cup in 2014 what a game, what a goal!
Bob Morrisey Director. Acting Joint Vice Chair. Bob is the Trust's welfare officer and web editor. Favourite Player. Hmm hard to pin point, Reg Jenkins in his day was awesome, recent times, then it has to be Ian Henderson (His goal against Leeds in the cup was sublime) but for sheer commitment, passion and leadership it has to be Gary Jones, a leader of men and a man who set the standards of commitment needed to be winners, something rarely seen in recent timesDirector.
Murray Knight Secretary. International Man Of Mystery
Ruby Loynd. Director Of Youth Involvement. I have been a supporter of Dale since I was little. About 3 years ago I started regularly attending matches and I am now entering my 2nd year as a Season Ticket holder. I am the Trust's Youth Officer and Ambassador and was co-opted as a full board member in June 2024. On matchdays when not on Trust duties I can be found in the club shop where I am a volunteer working with shop manager Stuart Ashworth. I link with our Youth Affairs Officer and the younger members of the fan base. I am the first point of call for all parents/ carers, especially with young children and also for all younger fans who want a closer tie with the club. I have assumed my place on the Trust Desk Rota where I can be approached along with other staff members in providing advice, answering queries, or sourcing an answer from the club. The relevant information will be communicated to the fan concerned. As per other board members, I can be contacted on the Trust email. My favourite players have got to be Hendo and Rodney
Director. Keith Hicks Former Players Association Manager Been involved at Rochdale AFC for over 35 years as a player for two seasons before retiring through injury leading to employment as Community Trust Manager but also involved at the Club as Centre of Excellence Director, Youth Team Assistant Manager and First Team Scout, highlights being watching seven players from the Centre of Excellence/Youth Team in the squad for the FA Cup 5th Round match v Wolverhampton Wanderers plus witnessing players like Jamie Allen, Ethan Brierley, Craig Dawson, Fabio Tavares coming through Community sessions. Favourite ex-player would have to be Reg Jenkins, absolute legend and who I had the pleasure to play against in the 1970’s but more recently Craig Dawson, who attended Community Trust soccer schools as a youngster.
Finance Officer Michael Shepherd
Director. Charlie Stansfield Inclusion Officer Long term supporter since the early 90s, home and away, Charlie is instantly recognisable for her hair! She lives and works in Rochdale as a careers adviser and is passionate about young people getting the chance they deserve. Keen to develop the communication from the club and to improve the match day experience for all, she also assists with welfare issues. Favourite players are Peter Ward and Chris Dagnall and for playing reasons Craig Dawson
Director Ian Goodwin Exiles Co-ordinator Ian was recruited in 2018 specifically as the Trust’s co-ordinator for Exiles. Now based in Sheffield, Ian has supported the Dale since the early 1960s and saw the 1st leg of the League Cup final against Norwich in 1962. He remembers well the first promotion season in 1968/69 and enjoyed writing about those times for the match programmes for the 50th anniversary. He aims to create a sense of belonging among a dispersed membership of over 300 by sending Exile newsletters and organising Exile catch-ups home and away. He takes baffled astonishment at Dale's unbeaten run at the annual reunion of Exiles at the Crown Oil Arena. The threat of Covid has meant he has been absent from the stands in recent times but he intends to be back in 2023/24.Director. Director
Scott Goulding Director. Membership Manager> I've been on the Dale Trust board since its inception back in January 2004 and nearly 20 years I'm bizarrely still here (filling various roles - even incl. chairman for a couple of season's). Going into 2023-24 season, I will be continuing as Trust membership officer and hoping we can smash the membership record (21/22- 1,306) or the current season. Favourite Player - Lyndon Simmonds Favourite Goal - Steve O'Shaughnessy v Northampton 27.09.90 (FA Cup 4th Round)

Hi, I'm Harry Holt Director, Media Design I've been a Dale fan basically for all my life, coming to the matches with my grandad since I was a kid. For the last few years, I've started to get more involved with the trust attending the meetings held in the Ratcliffe to generate ideas to help the club and now that I've returned from Uni I want to give back to the Dale on the whole and community which means so much to me. Picking a favourite player is a tricky one, but I'd say it's between Andy Cannon, Ollie Rathbone and Ian Henderson. My most memorable memory from the Dale is when we played Spurs home and away.e
Jake Dowd Media- Publicity Editor with responsibilities for Trust Facebook I have been a Rochdale Fan from the moment I can remember. My Dad would take me to the games when I was younger. My family were all United fans but premier league and them top teams never resonated with me. Being at Rochdale feels like gathering for a family event. It’s the ‘at home feeling’ and feeling like you’re apart of the community, it gives you a sense of importance, knowing your presence and voice is needed and appreciated. I’ve struggled with mental health all my life and that’s made me miss seasons and matches in my early teenage years. However when Rochdale played Tottenham in the FA cup I had to go and for those 90mins my issues never even came to mind as coming to the club helped my mental health so much. That’s why I want to try and help give something back. So I got recommended to come to the Trust meetings to see what it’s like and if I’d like to join, so I decided to join. My favourite player is Ian Henderson and my favourite keeper is Josh Lillis. My favourite memory is going to Wembley to watch Rochdale v Tottenham. The score doesn’t even matter to me it was the whole day with the snow storm we had and the troubles me and my dad had getting to the game with the car freezing up and coming up with makeshift ways to get it back running. That makes it my favourite memory with watching Rochdale.
James Devine Media Consultant I have been a Rochdale fan all my life. I have had a season ticket with my Dad for many years, but also used to go with my grandparents and wider family who also all go. We have spent some fantastic times together following our team up and down the country. I am a second year sports journalism student at Leeds Beckett. Over this year I have been working with the trust to help with the media output - something I’m really enjoying. I’ve also got a placement with the club’s official media team. I hope both can continue for years to come. Through all of this, I want what is best for Rochdale AFC, on and off the pitch. My favourite player of all time has to be the goat, Ian Henderson - but honourable mentions to Gary Jones, who is my first memory of watching Rochdale, and Tobi Adebayo-Rowling who I think is a brilliant breath of fresh air. My favourite goal of all time is Stephen Davies’ last minute equaliser at home to Tottenham in the cup. Me and my Dad went nuts, knowing we were off to Wembley together.
