Unsure what Trust Membership can do for you and what you can contribute to the Trust? The following may help you in deciding to join us in this exciting new era for our Club:-

  • The recent welcome introduction of the Ogden family into the structure of the Club, providing the essential sustainability required to permit a positive future, strongly suggests there has never been a better time to become a member of the Trust. Reflecting a strong membership representing our Members’ views and opinions, we can certainly, on your behalf, actively participate in meeting the challenges faced in achieving the Club’s ambitious future objectives.
  • At the start of each month, all Members, Adult and Junior alike, are emailed a newsletter, detailing what the Trust has been up to and what is planned, in addition to which an update is provided by our Trust Director on the Club Board. A survey of our members found this Newsletter to be the best way of communicating Trust and Club activities, in addition to which we also utilise our web site, www.daletrust.co.uk, Facebook, X (Twitter), and through our well-used Trust email facility info@daletrust.co.uk.
  • We have also recently introduced YouTube to certain events, providing coverage for those unable to attend. In addition, there is the Trust desk in the Dale Bar prior to each home game, manned by Trust staff, available to provide information/assistance.
  • Within our membership, there is a substantial number of Members not locally resident, UK based and abroad. To specifically respond to their needs, our Exiles Coordinator, Ian Goodwin, Sheffield-based, issues periodic Exiles Newsletters and organises an annual, well-attended Exiles Day at the Crown Oil Arena.
  • The Trust Board meet formally with the Club Board twice a year, and in the build up to that, Trust Members are invited to provide questions to be raised. In addition, the Trust Board will also meet with the Club, as required, regarding specific operational matters as they arise, at which time, Members’ opinions and views will be requested and discussed.
  • Members receive discounts for Trust events, and whilst many of them are free of charge, last season, for example, the successful Curry Night was £25 for members and £30 for non-members, recouping the membership fee!
  • Each month, involving all fans, we conduct an online poll to decide the Player of the Month. From only the Trust Members taking part in the poll, a draw is made, and the lucky Member is invited to make the presentation after a home game and, in return, receives a signed copy of the plaque presented.
  • At each AGM, Members decide who represents them on the Trust Board, through a re-elections process, at which time, as there is certainly room to increase numbers to share the workload, we actively encourage and welcome any Members who would wish to be considered for election at that time.
  • Periodically throughout the year besides our marquee social event, Curry on up the Dale, we put on various fun events, Quiz Nights, Race Nights to name a few.
