With the recent excitement and involvement of the Trust at the clubs recent AGM where we put our own motions to a shareholder vote in a Trust requested EGM which saw changes to the Club Board (Here) and with a large influx of new and re-joining members it’s important that our other Trust work continues as normal and with that in mind we are really excited and pleased to follow up our supportive Partnership initiative with Early Break.
Early Break are a Young People & Family Service supporting the local community and surrounding boroughs with needs around drugs and/or alcohol and the Trust launched their supportive initiative recently when Trust board members, secretary Murray Knight and Young Persons advocate Dave Earnshaw presented Jacqui Selby, Early Break’s Training, and Marketing & Development Coordinator with our certificate.
Since then we are really pleased to further that connection by bringing on board, Kirsty Mcdermott one of Early Break’s caseworkers based at their Rochdale Office, and by a very nice coincidence indeed it turns out Kirsty is a raving lifelong Dale fan and a member of the Dale trust.
Last week Trust Board young person’s advocate Dave Earnshaw presented Kirsty with a second copy of the supportive initiative certificate for her office here in Rochdale.
For new trust members, this initiative fits into the trust ethos of working alongside young people and families, and as Trust secretary, Murray Knight said recently it fits perfectly with our model of supporting not only our younger Trust members but young people in the Rochdale area in general.”
We will be featuring Kirsty in a future article where she will explain more about her role at Early Break, how it impacts the community, and her experiences of being a dale supporter
Here are some contact links that may help in the meantime. Early Break is open Mon-Thur 8am-6pm/Fri 8am-5pm.
