Willbutts Lane Chippy (website)
We guarantee you that you will not find a better chippy as close to the away turnstiles at any ground this season. The Chippy is definitely a local highlight and it is literally about 10 steps from the away turnstiles. You will not be disappointed, we promise you.
They will always ensure that they are open around Dale games, and if you’re after a bit of local produce, go for the Rag Pudding – it’s a Rochdale speciality. Wikipedia might credit Oldham with its birthplace, but we know differently. The chips are fantastic, and they don’t scrimp on the size of the portions.
Baguettes (website)
If you’re just after a sandwich before the game, Baguettes is your best bet. They do fantastic baguettes (hence the name) amongst other things. If you’re driving from the motorway, turn left when you reach the traffic lights at the Cemetery Pub and it will be about a quarter mile down the road on the left.
It’s not open for midweek games unfortunately, and it can get busy but there’s not better reference to a place than it being full. You can ring your orders through in advance if you want. The menu can be downloaded from here.
Mill About
Mill About is a beautifully renovated cafe bar located in a historic mill. The venue has been meticulously restored to its former glory, offering visitors a unique and enjoyable experience. Sandbrook Park is a retail estate that you will pass on the drive to the ground from the motorway. There are a number of places to eat within it.

The Sandbrook is a carvery type that also specialises in stone baked pizza. It’s open from 8am in the morning if you’re early enough for some breakfast. Menu details are available here.
Copper Pot (website)
Copper Pot is a great Curry House on the retail park. Very popular with locals and opens at 5-15pm on Saturdays so its perfect if you fancy getting a meal before hitting the motorway. Full details of their menu can be found here.
