On Good Friday, the club are welcoming three special guests from the fantastic charity Edgar’s Gift. Trust member Neil Bradman and his sons David and Ethan are travelling up to the game from Leicester to cheer the Dale on, on what has become a massive fixture.
The Trust’s friendship with Edgar’s Gift started when Peter Vincenti, who is a patron of the charity, was at the club, and Peter donated a few prizes for various Trust events, so the Trust has made some various cash donations to the charity down the last few years. Since Peter left the club, Neil was keen to keep links with the club going and through the Trust, Joe Thompson was approached and has now also become a Patron of Edgar’s Gift.
After the game on Friday the Trust will be presenting a donation of £250 to Neil. Approximately £180 of this is the money left over from last seasons much publicised visit by Jesus Sanchez Alemany, which fellow Trust member John Beckett was custodian of, and the Trust are rounding it up to £250.
