A benefit evening is being held at the Ratcliffe Suite for 12 year old local girl & Trust member- Emily Bannister, whom has been sadly hit by a very rare cancer disease – Ewing sarcoma.
Ewing sarcoma is a bone cancer and most commonly occurs in the long bones, ribs, pelvis and spine (vertebral column). Fewer than 30 children in the UK develop Ewing sarcoma each year. It usually occurs in the teenage years, and is more common in boys than girls!
Proceeds will go to fund Emily’s trip WW2 sites of interest (first trip will be to Amsterdam and Normandy) after her treatment has finished. And will also be split with the following three charities:-
