Trust Monthly Meeting – June 2015

The Trust Board met on Monday 15th June for the regular monthly meeting.

The meeting’s main focus was getting ready for the new season, preparing the literature, new membership and any close season items.

We met with Frances Fielding, the club’s Sale and Marketing Manager and discussed a number of items we also followed up on a number of things brought up at the meeting between the Trust and the club’s Marketing Department.

Membership was discussed – we’ve had new members and also old members not renewing, we’ll be looking into the reasons for this and looking to contact lapsed members notified them of the benefits of being a Trust member. Design of membership forms and distribution was discussed.

A Friend’s of the Trust update was provided. With no new members of the scheme recently, we’ll be in touch with all Friends of the Trust soon to confirm this season’s involvement and then we’ll be looking to increase the numbers. We’ll also be looking to introduce our Friends of the Trust to the club to discuss future opportunities. If your business is interested in becoming a Friend of the Trust please contact us.

As season ticket holders will be aware, the club are again offering a £5 off voucher for early bird membership to the trust meaning season ticket holders save £5 on trust membership, with the club making up the other £5.

The Trust will be hosting 3 match ball sponsorships again this season, two to be confirmed but we can confirm we have secured the home match against Bury. The Trust draw members at random and invite them to take part in the Match Ball sponsorship, this includes pre match meal, programme, seat in the main stand, access to the main lounge and the chance to watch the post-match presentations. This is an excellent benefit of being a Trust member.

The club will be dealing with the annual calendar, the Trust have been asked to take part but we feel with low numbers on the Trust board, we don’t have enough resources required to undertake the project.

A number of potential projects were discussed where the club and the Trust can work together to the benefit of the club and our members, we’ll be looking to work together on projects including fitness activities, business exhibitions and closer consultation with Trust members and supporters.

The Trust will be looking for suggestions for our chosen charity in the near further so look out for that, we welcome members’ suggestions.

The Trust will be continuing our close links with Dale in the Community and we’ll continue to report on the excellent work the department does in the Community.

We’ll also be looking to continue and improve our presence online through our website and twitter.

There are a number of other items discussed which we will let members know about when the time is right but rest assured, we’re working hard to ensure the Trust is a strong voice for supporters, maintaining a good working relationship with the club and wider Community.

If you have any comments on the above or any suggestions for the Trust please contact us via email – info@daletrust.co.uk
