The Trust board met on Thursday evening. Here’s a look at what was discussed.
All funds were now in that had been raised for Grow4Joe as a result of the Evening with Keith Hill and the Player of the Season evening. A grand total of £2,431.81 has been raised by Dale supporters for the charity put together by the former Dale midfielder. We will contact Joe over the next few days to arrange an opportunity to give him the donation.
Plans were made for membership for the 2014-15 season. Cards for next season are currently being ordered and the design for the Trust leaflet is taking shape. Online membership needed to be looked at to ensure that applications wouldn’t be rejected from people who joined online last season. All members would be urged to give a valid email address so that they could be sent the regular Trust newsletter to keep them informed of Trust activities.
A Directors Meeting is being sought for June where initial items for discussion will include the fixtures for 2014-15, and various plans for the new season. Questions will be sought from Trust members when this meeting has been arranged.
The Football In the Community praised the impact of the car that was purchased following fundraising by Trust members. It was having great benefit within the community. They also said that attendance at the FITC Soccer Schools had recently doubled.
Possible events and projects for the 2014-15 were discussed. Following the success of the posters given away at the Awards Night and the recent renaissance of Panini stickers, the Trust would look at introducing something for the new season to take advantage of that with a number of schemes being looked at. A member had raised the idea of the Trust commissioning a series of canvas prints from the promotion season, and that was being looked at.
Following the meeting, the vote took place for the Floodlights project. A statement on this will appear at the weekend on the Trust website.
