The Trusts/Clubs Commercial Focus group meeting on Thursday, the 17th proved a success with Club Commercial Director Andy Duff leading the evening supported by Dale COO George Delves.
As advertised, the meeting was a mix of face-to-face in the room with the Trust YouTube channel broadcasting it live (one of many live broadcasts to come) A good turnout of interested fans on the day supplemented by questions from our viewers enhanced what was to be a comprehensive presentation by Andy on the work that his team are focusing on and key areas that will become projects of their own in the future.
At this stage of the Ogden regime, many things both on and off the field are being worked on. The family’s initial Statement when they became part of Dale, here, is very much alive and in progress (See Cameron’s statement on 13th Sep, here) and in answering concerns from fans that things now seem to be “quiet” George explained that though most projects, though not secretive are moving a pace and are being handled diligently and comprehensively by the Owners, something we have come to expect from the Ogden’s and when each development project is ready and in place it will be presented to the fans at the earliest opportunity.
With this in mind, Andy explained that his team’s reviews on all aspects of Commercial activities were constantly ongoing, the initial targets this year and next being to increase and maximise the club’s financial streams remains paramount, system reviews and new income streams were being considered all the time and that he hoped that the focus group would provide valued input into that.
It has to be stressed, and Andy says this at the beginning of his presentation, which you can view online that this is a focus meeting and not a formal presentation and that member’s and fan opinions were one of the outcomes he hoped to achieve and use in steering the club’s future commercial success, to this end the applause (not seen for a long time) from the floor for Andy at the end of the night spoke volumes about the evening’s proceedings.
Trust Directors present will be taking forward questions raised and facilitating members and fans alike to have further input in commercial activities.
The Trust would like to offer thanks to Andy Duff and George Delves for not only taking time but for fully involving themselves with this engagement, answering questions in full and addressing concerns raised.
Trust thanks also go to new Trust Director Harry Holt for his video telecast.
And finally, to our members and fans in general for taking the time to participate in the evening.
