Just a reminder that the Trust are hosting their AGM at 11am on Saturday in the Dale Bar before the home game with Leyton Orient.
There are two key votes that we will be having during the AGM
* Any Trust vote at the Football Club’s AGM/EGM must be voted on by the Trust membership who are eligible on the date of the called meeting.
* Any sale of the Trust owned shares in Rochdale Association Football Club can only happen with the approval of 90% of voting Trust members in a ballot.
We think these votes are very important to the future of the Trust. We recently announced that we were the beneficiaries of a large share donation courtesy of David Clough. As such, we believe it to be very important that we make amendments to our constitution that reflects this for the long term and by insisting that the Trust seeks the views of the membership before any major vote and acts in the way proposed by the members.
Equally, given the important that the shares have been over the course of the past few months, we want to protect these shares for the long term by ensuring that the members are in control of these shares, and they cannot be sold without a huge majority of members in favour of doing so. It also protects those on the Trust Board from any 3rd parties who may wish to influence any decision.
Entry will be strictly limited to Dale Trust members.
