We want you to meet Vince Ashall, (seen above with his granddaughter), who recently, as a Trust member, was co-opted to the Trust Board for this season and will stand as a full director at the September AGM.
Vince brings a wealth of experience to the Trust during change and movement under the club’s new owners. For those that have attended both Trust AGM and the club’s AGM/ EGM, you will be only too aware that Vince has an eye for detail and never afraid to challenge and ask. It is these qualities, amongst others, that the Trust will benefit from. Vince will take up the role of Trust Director with responsibilities for compliance and method organisation.
But for now, we asked him for a few words about himself. Here is what he had to say
Currently a season ticket holder and shareholder who has been following the Dale since the early ‘60s, as evidenced by my favourite player being Ted Burgin – Dale’s goalkeeper in that League Cup Final for you younger ones! Also a keen supporter of Springhill Hospice, he undertook its Three Reservoir ramble last year. In more recent times, who can forget Hendo’s goal against Leeds and that FA Cup tie against Spurs? My favourite player of modern times has to be Gary Jones. Unforgivable that he was let go when he was. Been a member of the Trust since its formation. My background is in payroll and pensions, which has given me a keen eye for detail that hopefully will be useful to the Trust board.
