Through most of these meetings and especially at a focus group, which was video transmitted on 31st Jan 2025 club Commercial Manager, now Managing Director RAFC Andy Duff patiently explained his aims and priorities in this area.
To replace our existing ticketing system could have been reasonably simple, but the club’s need for a more diverse, integrated management system was paramount, a system designed for our needs, and a system to take the club forward, but a system that was going to be reliable and fan friendly was the calling mantra and it now seems that Andy and team have pulled it off.
We have a brand-new system, and the Trust thanks must go to Andy Duff who has at all times has shared and worked with the Trust and has patiently taken our feedback, some from quite irate people, and for sharing and discussing progress.
But enough of that and enough of us trying to explain it.
Below, we have taken from the official website (and borrowed their pic) the club’s post recently put online. We are impressed, and we hope the fan base will be too.
Here is what was posted.
Rochdale AFC is excited to welcome Fanbase as our new Ticketing and Fan Engagement provider from the 2025/26 campaign onwards.
This partnership will offer Dale supporters access to a new digital platform that brings tickets, hospitality, the latest news and more into one user-friendly interface. Whether on mobile, tablet or desktop, fans can easily stay connected to the club. Tickets can be purchased in seconds and stored in Apple or Google Wallet for quick and convenient matchday entry.
Fanbase also provides the club with access to fan insights and communication tools, making it easier for us to further understand how our supporters engage with Rochdale AFC. Built-in analytics will help us track campaign performance and make informed, data-driven decisions.
The platform also creates new commercial opportunities through integrated sponsorship placements in the app’s newsfeed and match centre, helping to connect our partners and supporters.
Season Tickets for our upcoming 25/26 campaign will be the first to go on sale via Fanbase, with match tickets moving across to the new system in time for the new season.
Andy Duff, Managing Director of Rochdale AFC, commented: “We’re excited to announce Fanbase as our new Ticketing and Fan Engagement partner as we work to improve many aspects of the fan experience over the weeks and months ahead.
“As we selected our partner in this critical area, we were impressed by the flexibility of the platform, the ease of setting up and managing a game from a ticketing aspect, and the first-hand recommendations we heard from Fanbase’s existing client clubs.
“We look forward to offering fans a simpler way to buy tickets and make matchday entry quicker and smoother than ever before, plus connect with supporters more closely to grow home attendances at the Crown Oil Arena.”
Jerome McCarthy, Head of Growth at Fanbase, said: “We’re delighted to continue our traction and partner with Rochdale AFC. It’s an exciting moment for the club, given their playoff push and the recent takeover.
“It’s a club that is making all the right moves off the pitch, and we can’t wait to work alongside the team to take the fan experience to the next level whilst making things easier in the back office.”
