We are calling for one final push….
We still need your help in pushing our Hendo initiative over the line. Ruby Loynd our youth officer recently extended the initiative to include all adult fans, something which has been popular, but, we still would like more input if you can help.
Below we have copied Rubys’ post from two weeks ago and invite you to read it again to see you YOU can be part of the Hendo tribute, it would be great to get as much input into this from the fan base especially as Hendo is probably our true GOAT.
Hendo Fan Project
On Friday 24th January, Ian Henderson turned 40 years young, BUT birthdays don’t just last a day surely?!?!
To help celebrate his birthday, we would like to ask all Dale fans to help create a scrapbook with lots of best wishes, photos and football memories inside.
We are running a competition alongside this for our under-18 Dale fans. They will be able to design the front cover. The lucky winner will then have the choice to either draw their image on the front cover or we can print the design off and stick it on.
This project was due to take place on the 25th of January however, due to recent pitch issues HERE and postponements HERE we have chosen to move the presentation to the 22nd of February at our home game against Barnet.
This will allow us to do as much advertising as possible both online and during the games at the COA.
All messages/images that have already been sent will be carried over to the new deadline.
The methods of entry will remain the same which are;
- Handwriting a message at the Club shop (Wed-Sat) to be stuck in the scrapbook.
- Handwriting a message at the Dale Trust Desk, located in the Dale Bar on home match days, to be stuck in the scrapbook.
- Handwriting a message and/or drawing an image in Desmond’s Den on match days, to be stuck in the scrapbook.
- Sending an email to youthmatters@daletrust.co.uk and they will be printed onto a coloured card to be stuck in the scrapbook
The new deadlines will be as follows;
- For handwritten messages, the deadline is Thursday 20th February. These will be collected from the Club Shop at 5pm.
- Email messages will be accepted until 8pm on Thursday 20th February.
- Submissions for the front-page designs will close at 8pm on Monday 17th February so the designs can then be drawn/ printed in time to be added to the scrapbook.
