Boston Postponed. Club Statement.

Tonight’s match has been called off as most now know.

  1. the club have posted statement on the official site which you can read HERE, but for those that want we reprint below what the club said.
“Tonight’s Vanarama National League match against Boston United has been postponed.

The match referee conducted a pitch inspection upon his and Boston’s arrival and deemed a small section to be unplayable.

As a Club, we were intent on giving the game every possible chance of going ahead, with our groundstaff working tirelessly since the weekend to prepare the surface for tonight.

However, despite best efforts, the referee was concerned about the corner of the pitch near the David Kilpatrick Main Stand and Smith Metals Family Stand, and has postponed the fixture.

We would like to apologise to supporters of both clubs for the inconvenience.

A rearranged date for the game will be confirmed in due course. Tickets will remain valid for that fixture. Refunds can be claimed by emailing tickets@rochdaleafc.co.uk and will be processed within 48 hours of the fixture concluding on the rearranged date”

Whilst members are free to post below or send questions to us, with the fans forum due this coming Thursday we assume any further clarification can be sought from the club  then.
