Our usual Trust Desk with colleagues from the Trust board will be set up as usual in the Dale Bar prior to our home game against Braintree Town
Trust membership and Ebbsfleet coach payments can be made, cash or card is available for this.
We will also have “Walk Up” Sandy Lane tickets which we are CASH only and staff are always on hand to answer queries and questions, so don’t be shy
Regarding the Sandy tickets, at our last home game, we ran out of our allocation and will have more, however, we ask anyone who wants to buy a Sandy ticket to please do so before 2.45 pm, 15 minutes before kick-off. The reason for this was the amount of people queuing up was out of the door and it took the staff until kick-off time to get all processed.
Coach Booking and Payments. The next coach going South s for the Ebbsfleet game on 5th October, Cost £35. See HERE for more details and for Octobers travel itinerary click HERE
BOGS. As usual, our friends from the BOGS team will be around near the trust desk and available to discus any donation of memorabilia or similar you may wish to make, or if they have something you want get haggling, its all for a good cause.
Trust guests joining us on Saturday are “The Andy Man Club” with Derek Robinson and fellow group members. see todays post HERE “Andy Man” is a Peer-to-peer suicide/Mens mental health prevention charity called ANDYSMANCLUB, they have over 200 groups around the country (one of which uses the Rochdale Community Trust Hub which is where Derek and the team meet, Derek being one of the facilitators.
Andy Man has diversified somewhat and apart from its main stated aim and to quote from their website “ANDYSMANCLUB are a men’s suicide prevention charity, offering free-to-attend peer-to-peer support groups across the United Kingdom and online. We want to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and help men through the power of conversation. #ITSOKAYTOTALK”
So for emotional support for any man who for whatever reason finds themselves in crisis and whose needs become complex, and by providing a supportive friendly and empathetic group meeting our local group can offer support those men that face dark times and are subject to mental health concerns.
So Saturday’s game will see the lads with an “Awareness Table” at which more information is available and information on meetings and help can be discussed.
The Trust actively support this initiative and will be featuring its work throughout the season, remember this
Men do not seek help
it’s not seen as not manly!
Well, that’s one stigma we along with Andy Man want to shatter!
There is no shame in asking for help.
The Andy Man motto “It’s Good To Talk”
And here is a interesting statistic
The Andy Man service is used on a weekly basis by over 3000 men, with an army of 900+ facilitators, the movement is always continuing to grow on a week-by-week basis.
Contact details can be obtained from the Awareness Table or by contacting the Trust welfare team, all enquiries will be treated in confidence.
