Wayne Evans Shirt: Last few days to get a bid in

A Chance To Acquire a signed Wayne Evans Shirt

LAST FEW DAYS TO GET YOUR BID IN, READ BELOW.

With many bids already received, there is still time to bid on this unique shirt which comes with a full certificate of provenance from the Trust

……………………………………

The Trust has been curating two framed shirts for one of our members who received them when the original owner passed away and has now asked the Trust to offer them for sale with funds going to support Trust projects.

One of these is a signed Wayne Evans shirt from the 2000/01 season,

It is in a faux mahogany frame and glass-covered, which has preserved the signature Wayne appended to the number on the  back. Unlike some signatures, this one is clear and has a nice message, see pic.

This framed shirt has been lovingly kept and treasured by the original owner who received the shirt in 2001.

The shirt’s colour is Green, and because of the glass front, the light has not been able to catch the colour hue at its richest.

The Trust now offers the shirt to members and fans alike who may want this unique item and who will treasure it like its first owner.

If you would like to own this shirt then please feel free to place a bid HERE. The present owner has put a £80 reserve so offers over that please.

Wayne, better known by his nickname ‘Evo’ by the Dale supporters, was one of our best-ever fullbacks and amassed 297 appearances for the club, which puts him in the eighth spot in our all-time appearance holders list.

After beginning his career at Welshpool Town, he joined Walsall where he spent six years before joining Dale in 1999.

An almost ever-present over the next six seasons, Evans was a key member of the sides that reached the Division Three playoffs for the first time in 2002, as well as the FA Cup fifth round the following year.

His final appearance for the club came in April 2005, before joining Kidderminster Harriers and later returning to Welshpool.
