£271 raised by Quiz for the Joey T Appeal..

The Trust organised quiz night last Friday, 27th Sep at the Flying Horse Hotel  was a great success with way over 50 attendees battling it out (by a variety of means!) to be the evening’s top dogs and prize winners.

But the main winner was the Joey Thompson appeal which benefited from an additional £271 raised on the night, this will be sent to Joey this week.

The evening was memorable if only for the inventive nature participants utilised in arriving  at a correct (or not!) answer, Ex Trust Chair Col Cavanagh opted for bringing the largest table contingent, brains trust sort of thing, they lost, though they kept the beer lines clean. A smaller team with the Fitton’s came very close, mainly because they knew most of the answers, also they would not give out the Ding Bat answers they had, and we tried looking!

The evening was organised by the Trust with the support of Ben Boothman and hosted by experienced quiz master Kyle Rickards who gave his time freely, Kyle is also the manager of the “Lucky Duck Beer Emporium” next to the Regal Moon, a place worth a visit by fans when you get time. Kyle was assisted by Kieran Pearce who also gave his time freely to the cause, Kieran is the manager of “Our Gracie’s” Both did a great job keeping order when things got exciting and with the investable querying of the answers by teams who simply got it wrong it led to a great 3 hours of fun.

Thanks to all who attended, a great sum was raised for a great cause.
