England’s penalty win over Switzerland on Saturday was watched in the Ratcliffe Suite last Saturday by an emotionally charged and in the end, a very relieved set of Dale fans and their families. And just for good measure, Anthony and the Ratcliffe Bars at the club are going live again on Wednesday for the England semi-final, more of that later.
Last season an initiative by the Trust and the Club garnered great support when the Ratcliffe Suit and the big screens were open for several Tuesday nights away games. Following this, the club and Anthony at the Ratcliffe Suit opened the bar and the big screen for England’s Euro quarter-final against Switzerland on Saturday.
The Saturday event with bars opening early and the game at 5 pm proved a great success for the enthusiastic Dale fans, many with their families and the nail-biting end was truly emotionally charged, just take a look at the video below, 10 seconds of mayhem!
The Trust was pleased to be asked to support the initiative and it was pleasing to see so many members new and old.
