The Crown Oil Arena once more hosted the annual Exiles day on Saturday against Maidenhead, which was enjoyed by all who attended from the various parts of the UK. They were joined by Mark Stuart and Jason Peake as guests, who spent the day chatting with the Exiles and are pictured being interviewed in a Q&A session prior to the game in the 1907 Lounge, hosted by Martin Culshaw.

Following their group photo guests gathered to enjoy a buffet lunch, followed by the choice of remaining in the comfort of the box, or as others did, venturing outside in the cold to view from the main stand. Prior to that, there were visit to the box by players not involved in the game, Chairman Simon and Jim McNulty, photo showing Jim talking to the guests and being reminded that the Exiles had never lost a game for a considerable number of occasions.
Jim obviously took that message to heart by providing the resultant 1-0 win.

The draw at half-time was made to decide the winner of the raffle for a squad-signed top and you can see above, Matthew Laurel being presented with his prize by Jason Peake.
Also, prior to the match, Sam and Gordon McDougall, Exiles based in Edinburgh, were in the party presenting the match ball to the referee on the pitch.
After the win, in addition to the Match Sponsors choice, Ryan East, the Exiles were also able to vote for their Man of the Match, Harvey Gilmour, and you can see Harvey being interviewed plus the photo of Sam and Gordon presenting his well-deserved award.
Many thanks to the members of the Trust Board, Ian Goodwin, Scott, Charlie and Keith whose efforts contributed to making the day such a success, and we look forward to seeing our Exiles members once more at next year’s event.
