Further to the recent expressions of interest in purchasing small lots of shares. The Trust Chair & Secretary were advised after the Altrincham game that, whereas the club would honour the agreement to sell in small lots if the target number was reached, there was a potential issue in that an EGM may have to be called, and once announced, no share sale can take place for the 14 day period leading up to the EGM.
Today’s announcement of an EGM to be held on 7th March 2024 has come out later than we anticipated, so please accept our apologies for the lack of communication on the share purchase over the past 10 days, but this is clearly now on hold until after the EGM, at which point we can revisit this.
With regards the EGM, we will, as quickly as possible, read the proposals and what the club articles of association say currently, and if we need to take legal advice, will do so, just for the purposes of clarification.
We are also considering a members’ meeting prior to the fans forum of 29th February with a view to allowing access via Teams for exiled members. We will update you further when we have had chance to discuss this.
If, in the meantime, you have any questions relating to either of the above issues, please email to info@daletrust.co.uk
