Today’s home game against Dagenham & Redbridge saw the Trust share its space in the Dale bar with Mr “Bogs” (Mark Willy Williams)
Most will be aware that Mark set up on Facebook a fund raising initiative which is now known colloquially as “BOGS” if you have not read about this before, then you can HERE on our website.
Mark met with Trust representatives recently (see pic above), a meeting from which the Trust were delighted to endorse and support his initiative.
In essence Mark has set up a system where fans can trade memorabilia with each other with any cash sales being donated to the Trusts highly successful Squad Builder Fund, the BOGS Facebook page can be found HERE.
Today, we saw substantial donations directly to the Trust along with Marks BOGS team raising over £1000 plus (Final figure will be confirmed later in week) which we think exceeded all expectations and is a fine Testament to work and vision shown by Mark and his team
All our aims are focused on one objective which is to supplement the Trust Squad Builder Fund. A fund ringfenced by the Trust to be used for supporting the established player budget.
Finally, it would be churlish to not thank and acknowledge the support the club have given the Trust in growing the fund. A big thank you goes to the club staff in ensuring that donation buttons on all tills/card readers at the club and in the shop have been set up and for encouraging staff to ask clients if they would like to donate when they pay for their drinks/goods. Team work indeed.
