The Dale Trust buckets are going on tour this weekend as we stage a matchday collection at Leyton Orient for our legal defence against Morton House, and this is all thanks to the Leyton Orient supporters.
We were already very grateful to Leyton Orient’s Supporters Trust after they made a donation of £250 to our crowdjustice campaign which we believe to be the largest individual donation from anybody outside our own fanbase. But things have gone a stage further when they spoke to their Club and arranged for a collection ahead of this weekend’s game.
We asked if @daletrust can collect for their fundraising at Saturday's game at #lofc, pleased to say new CEO Mark Devlin has agreed. They will be collecting at some turnstiles only, please note this is separate from the Ukraine relief bucket collection inside the ground. (1/2) https://t.co/l30hPOPfU9

This goes way and above the normal cooperation between two teams with a long history of playing each other despite the distance between them, and this is a gesture that we as Rochdale supporters will remember for many years to come. The fact that the O’s supporters have simply read of our plight, donated and then took it upon themselves to organise a collection for us is outstanding, and they will be supporting at some of the home ends’ turnstiles as well.
Big thank you to Leyton Orient, LOFT and Mat at Pandamonium fanzine for their assistance with this.
We shall be around the turnstiles from around 2pm. We hope to see you there.
