Donations from supporters on Saturday brought in a total of £1521.57 to support the legal defence against Morton House.
From starting at the Trust desk at 1pm through to just before kick off at the turnstiles, Dale supporters dug deep and made large donations to the defence fund ahead of the Harrogate Town fixture, with some donations even being passed on after the game.
There will be matchday collections for each home game for the remainder of the season. However, we do not and could not expect the same generosity from supporters for each and every game. It was evident on Saturday that the donations were a lot more than just throwing in loose change, with note after note thrown into the collection buckets.
This brings the overall fund to £32,403.46 in total, though this will probably be out of date by the time that you’ve read this. We have received £23,381 from the CrowdJustice page at http://upthedalenotforsale.co.uk with other donations including Saturday’s matchday takings totalling £9,022.46.
Thank you to all the volunteers who supported with the collections and of course all supporters who donated.
