We would like your views to feed into a Football Supporters Association (FSA) initiative about iFollow streaming. The FSA has always supported the Saturday 3pm blackout protection because fans in stadiums helps to engage fans and provides much needed income for lower league clubs.
The FSA, however, has been approached by supporters with medical conditions and those with vulnerable household members who feel that they are not yet confident enough to attend matches. They are feeling excluded as they cannot access live streams as last season so they are asking if the Saturday 3pm blackout might be lifted at least temporarily.
This issue will be taken to the next FSA National Council meeting for discussion and the result of that debate may impact on the FSA policy on the 3pm blackout.
The FSA is gathering information from across the network. We covered this in our pre-season survey and over 85% of respondents felt it was safe to return but we want to reflect all and any views. Ian Goodwin our Exiles co-ordinator is collating our response and would welcome views by 4.00pm on Friday 27 August. Any comments either for or against a lifting of the 3pm blackout to exiles@daletrust.co.uk
