Our friends at the Dale In The Community Sports Trust are engaging a brand-new free initiative, Fit Fans, for Dale supporters!
The EFL Trust has been instrumental in supporting the Club with the Fit Fans initiative, which has been successfully running at numerous Clubs in England.
The 12-week course, which starts on Wednesday 9th September (7pm-9pm), is aiming to help men and women, aged 35-65, to lose weight, live a healthier lifestyle, and change their life for the better with an emphasis that the end goal should be improving health and fitness.
Every session contains a different topic including managing alcohol consumption, understanding food labels and calorie intake, to help balance diet, plus loads more.
There is also a physical component to each session on a weekly basis including five-a-side games on the new refurbished Kick Pitch at Rochdale AFC.
Head of Community Keith Hicks said: “I’m going to join the Fit Fans as I’ve slipped on a few pounds since lockdown! This is a great opportunity to get a little bit fitter. I’ve heard so much about the positives of the sessions from colleagues on the EFL Trust and fantastic achievements by the men and women who have completed the course. The course is excellent with a lot of advice. Each week there is something different about nutrition, health, exercise, healthy lifestyle and keeping active.”
To book on the programme, which is expected to prove to be extremely popular people should contact Keith Hicks ASAP on 07958593121 or email Keith.hicks@rochdaleafc.co.uk.
