We are delighted to announce that Eoghan O’Connell has been named as the Supporters’ Player of the Year following a poll of Dale supporters.
Following the curtailment of the season, we ran an online poll to find out who Dale supporters had as the Supporters’ Player of the Season and 381 Dale supporters participated in the poll. The results were the closest we have ever had with O’Connell winning the award by just two votes ahead of Ian Henderson.
With no formal awards ceremony taking place due to the lockdown, we had been hoping to arrange a presentation of the award to O’Connell but after discussions, it has been decided to wait until pre-season before handing over the trophy so we are announcing the award now.
