On Tuesday evening, a small and passionate group of fans and Dale Trust members met with representatives of the directors and staff to discuss a new ticketing and entry solution for the Club.
The current system which supports ticket sales, coach travel, shop and online shopping will be withdrawn from the market in May 2020. The Club will take the opportunity to implement a new solution that will help to modernise and improve the fan experience at Rochdale AFC, for instance with functionality to have mobile and print at home tickets without the need for collection.
The group openly discussed options, thoughts and experiences about a number of aspects of the design and implementation of the future solution including:
- Season ticket books / physical cards / e-wallet cards
- Member schemes and cards
- Match tickets (including printing / collection)
- Payment methods
- Early bird prices / admin fees / differential pricing
- Bundling match programmes, parking, lounge & other extras
- Buying for others / friends & family
- Hospitality
- Cashless turnstile entry
- RAFC shop
- Communications
- Loyalty / eligibility
This is the first stage in what both the Supporters Trust and the Club hope will be an exciting and collaborative process to design and implement a new solution in time for the sale of Season tickets for the 2020/21 campaign, and we all hope to involve more fans in future consultations starting in February once the system has been selected.
The Trust and Club would like to thank those that joined us for this initial discussion which was both positive and constructive.
