On Saturday 16th March, Dale supporters will be undertaking a walk to Accrington Stanley and would like to invite you to join them.
The sponsored walk has been arranged to raise funds for the 5-a-side pitch. It is being organised by the Dale Trust but it is open to all supporters whether they want to help raise funds for the 5-a-side pitch or just fancy a leisurely sixteen mile stroll.
This will be the third time that Dale fans have held a sponsored walk to Accrington. Our first walk to Accy came back in 2010 and the 90+ walkers were fully rewarded for their efforts on a very rainy afternoon as Dale recorded a famous 4-2 victory that all but secured our first promotion in 40 years. The second walk to Accrington also saw a Dale victory, when we traipsed over the hills to raise funds for a van for the Dale Community Trust.
This year’s walk will take place on Saturday 16th March. We’ll be meeting at the Dale Bar at 7-30am, before setting off at around 8am. There’ll be a stop halfway along the way for refreshments, before completing the final stretch of the journey to Accrington.
A small number of places will be available to transport those fundraising home. If you are interested in this, please indicate so when completing the form.
