The popular forward won it by the narrowest of margins after an online poll of supporters.
In a poll of close to 500 votes, Hendo (pictured on the right above) won the award by just three votes with Josh Lillis coming a very close second.
He was presented with the award by the Trust on Saturday following the 1-0 win over Charlton which secured our League One season. It was a successful season for the Dale captain as he chalked up 20 goals in all competitions.
The result were:
1st Ian Henderson 29%
2nd Josh Lillis 28.3%
3rd Andy Cannon 10.8%
