ROCHDALE AFC LADIES
As we are now nearing the end of the season for most teams, I thought it would be good to give an update on how well we are progressing.
Under 14’s have been crowned Champions of the South Manchester Girls League Division 2 having won twelve from thirteen matches which means that they cannot be caught plus they are in the final of the League Cup and semi final of the Challenge Cup.
This has been an amazing season for this group of players under the leadership of our volunteer female coach, Montanna Rollins, who has attained the FA Level “2” Award and has now enrolled on the UEFA “B” Award.

As for the rest of the teams, we are not allowed to publish tables for the Under 9’, 10’s, 11’s in the South Manchester Girls League but I can tell you that the 9’s have only lost four games out of a possible twenty eight in tournaments and the 10’s have won every match played plus are already in the final of the League Cup and semi final of the Challenge Cup whilst the 11’s are still involved in both League, Europa and Challenge Cups.
Under 12’s have consolidated in the First Division, a massive step up from last season, presently lying fourth were most of our opponents have been together far longer than us but next season we will looking to improve.

Under 13’s are presently top of the Second Division having won every match played and are only one match away from being crowned Champions.
The most impressive aspect of this is that we only formed the team at short notice and registered them at the South Manchester Girls League AGM at the last minute.

Under 15’s after a slow start have been on a run of victories that has taken them to second place in Division 2 and have reached the final of the League Cup.
If they win their last three matches, they will top the Division, again a fantastic achievement for the squad.

Everything is looking extremely good at the moment, especially when you consider that this is only the third year we have been together after starting off with just one team at Under 14’s.
Training on Wednesday night at the Soccer Factory sees over 100 girls turning up and recently we have seen an increase in the Wild Cats sessions aimed at the younger end with girls aged 5+ starting out on their football development.
Anyone is welcome to come down to the Soccer Factory:
Under 9’s, 10’s, 11’s, 12’s: 5.00 – 6.00pm
Under 13’s & 14’s: 6.00 – 7.00pm
Open Age: 7.00 – 8.00pm
See you all next Tuesday when our local rivals from Oldham are at the Crown Oil Arena
