The weather might have dampened the course, but it didn’t dampen the spirits for the Trust’s first (possibly) annual Footgolf competition on Sunday.
It wasn’t one for the purists as we descended on Marland Golf Course to try our best at Footgolf on Sunday afternoon. With the rain coming down for most of the afternoon, the emphasis was definitely on the enjoyment factor rather than it being competitive – though that didn’t prevent some creative accounting with some of the scores making it to the card.
Sam Wright was the eventual winner, going round the 9 holes in a very impressive 33 winning by one stroke from Harrison, and he can be seen above collecting his trophy in a thankfully cropped photograph.
Big thanks to everyone at Link4Life for hosting us and if you fancy a try, more details can be found here.
