Hi everybody hope you’re looking forward to our encounter with our friends from the other side of Heywood-let’s hope for a cracking match and progression to the third round of the FA Cup with a possible meeting with the big boys from the Premiership.
MASCOT
Today’s mascot is Leon Pilling, who’s father, Mark coaches our Ladies under 12’s team.
His sister, Lucy plays for our under 16’s and apparently he loves watching her on Saturdays in the North Manchester Girls League.
He is eight years old and attends Sandbrook Community Primary School.
Leon enjoys playing outside with his friends and on his Xbox plus when he gets chance watching Dale with his favourite players being Josh Lillis.
ROCHDALE AFC PLAYER VISITS
I have been asked by Siobhan to thank the players for taking time out of their extremely busy schedule to support our School programme and especially Keith and the management team for allowing them to visit our young supporters in local Schools.
Recent visits have been to Sandbrook Community School, Bamford Academy, St Marys Primary School, Balderstone and Healey Primary School.
ROCHDALE AFC LADIES
Fantastic news regarding our under 9’s team who qualified for the next round of the North Manchester Girls League Cup with a resounding 3-0 victory over Heyside Nexgens one of the stronger teams in their section.
Highlight of the match was a hat trick for Olivia Moulton but all the players deserve a mention including Holly Hayden, Scarlett Smith, Lexyi Altimus and Amber Fearon.
